We tell you what the law actually says
Texas Insurance Code Section 1952.301 says your insurer cannot dictate the brand, type, age, vendor or condition of the parts on your car, and Section 1952.302 says an adjuster cannot tell you which shop to use. Read those section numbers back to anyone who tells you otherwise.
CAPA certified when it matters, honest when it does not
A hood is worth certifying because CAPA found one of six non-certified hoods missing its reinforcement plate. A grille insert is not. We stock both and we will say which is which rather than upselling the whole order.

Who we are and what is on the shelf
Danny opened this place in 2016 after nine years behind a dealer parts counter, mostly because he got tired of quoting people a number he knew was three times what the panel was worth. It is still a small operation. Marisol runs the front, Efrain and Ray load the van, and the white Transit with the cracked mud flap and the parts racks welded down the middle is the delivery fleet in its entirety.
Our stock covers bumper covers, fenders and quarter panels, hoods, grilles and header panels, headlights, taillights and mirrors, doors, body panels and sheet metal, radiators, condensers and cooling parts, pre-painted body parts, automotive paint and body supplies, body clips, retainers and fasteners, used and salvage car parts, throttle bodies and engine parts and truck and SUV body parts. Trade accounts and walk-in customers pay the same price, which is unusual in this trade and occasionally a source of friction with the bigger body shops.

Text or email the VIN off the windscreen and one photo of the damage. The VIN is what lets us pull the correct interchange rather than guessing from a model name, and the photo tells us whether the absorber and rebar went with the cover. You get a written quote back the same business day, and it is a person replying, not an autoresponder.

We tell you what you actually need
Sometimes that is less than you asked for. A hunting idle is usually a can of cleaner rather than a throttle body, and a snapped headlight tab is an eighteen dollar repair kit rather than a lamp assembly. We would rather sell you the cheap fix and keep you than sell you the expensive one once.

Will-call or the morning van
Pick it up at the counter, or it goes on the morning route. Nothing leaves here without the fitment check: sensor spacing, cutout shape, tab pattern against a straightedge. If it is wrong when it arrives, it goes back on the van and we do not argue about it.

What pushes any of these to the top of the range: sensors and radar behind the panel, aluminium construction, pearl and tri-coat finishes, and low-volume body styles that ran for one or two model years.
How much should a bumper cover cost in Dallas?
An unpainted aftermarket bumper cover for a common Dallas commuter sedan costs $118 to $175 at our counter. The same panel from a dealer parts department usually lands between $420 and $760. Pre-painting to your door jamb code adds roughly $90 to $180, which is still well under what a body shop charges to prep and spray the same part. The figures that move a cover to the top of its range are park sensors, washer jets and radar behind the grille.
Can my insurer tell me which parts and which shop to use?
No, and the statute is short enough to read on the phone to an adjuster. Texas Insurance Code Section 1952.301 bars an insurer from limiting coverage by specifying the brand, type, kind, age, vendor, supplier or condition of the parts used on your vehicle, and from limiting your choice of repair facility. Section 1952.305 says you are owed written notice of those rights when you present the car. Almost nobody gets it. The full section list is on our Texas parts rights page.
Is a CAPA certified part actually worth the difference?
On structural and safety panels, yes. CAPA's own testing found six of seven non-certified metal body parts failed to match the car company part's yield and tensile strength, with yield strength as much as 31 percent lower, and one of six non-certified hoods was missing the reinforcement plate between the striker and the outer skin entirely. On a grille insert or a mirror cap it makes no difference at all, so buying certified across a whole order is money spent for nothing.
Should I buy new aftermarket or recycled for an older car?
Recycled usually wins past about ten years old. A used panel is the car company's own stamping, with the car company's own tab geometry and sensor mounts, which is exactly what a budget aftermarket panel cannot promise. The trade is condition, which is why grades exist. Our three-way comparison puts the numbers side by side.
Why is my brand new bumper cover sitting crooked?
A fresh cover that will not sit flat is almost always a reused absorber or a bent reinforcement bar behind it. The plastic is doing what it is told; the foam and the steel underneath are not. Check the absorber for compression on the impact side before blaming the panel, and put a straightedge across the rebar.
Do you sell to the public or only to shops?
Both, at the same price. There is no trade counter and a separate retail counter here, which annoys a couple of the bigger accounts and is not going to change.
Questions we get at the counter
Can my insurance company force me to use aftermarket parts?
No. Texas Insurance Code Section 1952.301 prohibits an insurer from limiting your coverage by specifying the brand, type, kind, age, vendor, supplier or condition of the parts used to repair your vehicle. It also protects your choice of repair shop, and Section 1952.302 goes further by barring an adjuster from even suggesting you must use a shop from their preferred list. If somebody has told you otherwise, Section 1952.306 lets you file a written complaint with the Texas Department of Insurance.
Do you deliver, or do I have to come to the counter?
Both. Will-call is free and the van runs a fixed morning route, so an order placed by nine in the morning generally reaches an Irving shop the same day.

Can you match my car's paint colour?
Yes, from the paint code on the driver's door jamb tag. Photograph the tag and bring the photo. We mix basecoat and aerosols to code at the counter, and we ship pre-painted bumper covers to Garland and the eastern suburbs most weeks, so the panel arrives ready to bolt on rather than ready to prep.
Do you buy used parts or scrap cars?
We buy clean recycled panels, lamps and assemblies from shops and from the public, and we do not buy whole vehicles. Bring the part, not the car.
How do I know a used parts seller is legitimate?
Ask for their used automotive parts recycler licence. Texas licenses recyclers through the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation under Occupations Code Chapter 2309, the licence covers one facility and runs one year at a time, and TDLR inspects each licensed facility at least once every four years. A yard in Grand Prairie or anywhere else that will not show you a licence number is telling you something worth listening to.
